Hi, I’m Josie — the maker behind Lanyards by Whaea Josie!

I’m a teacher by day, and a creator at heart. I started making lanyards because I wanted something that was not only practical for everyday use at school, but also stylish and comfortable to wear.

One of my favourite designs is the scrunchie-style lanyard — it’s perfect for busy days when you need to quickly unlock doors without taking your lanyard off (and without misplacing your keys!). It’s those little everyday moments that inspired me to create something both functional and fun.

Each lanyard is carefully handmade by me, with attention to detail and quality in every piece. I love playing with colours, textures, and designs so you can have something that feels uniquely yours.
